Synqly now offers a Microsoft Defender External Attack Surface Management (EASM) integration, live within the Synqly ecosystem. OEM product and engineering teams building vulnerability management, asset inventory, or exposure management tools can integrate with Microsoft Defender EASM through a single Synqly connector, giving customers access to externally discovered assets and findings without a dedicated build cycle. This addition rounds out Synqly’s Vulnerabilities connector with a provider that specializes in the assets a customer does not already know they own.
What is Microsoft Defender External Attack Surface Management?
Microsoft Defender EASM is a service that gives organizations continuous visibility into their internet-facing assets and digital presence. It maps a customer’s external attack surface across cloud, software-as-a-service, and infrastructure-as-a-service environments, finding, analyzing, and categorizing resources as they appear rather than relying on a periodic scan.
That continuous inventory is built specifically to surface unmanaged and shadow IT resources: the servers, domains, and services that were never entered into a customer’s asset register but are still reachable from the internet. Microsoft positions the product as a way to see an organization’s exposure the way an outside attacker would. Because Defender EASM sits inside the broader Microsoft Defender family, it is frequently already in use at organizations that have standardized on Microsoft security tooling, which makes a native integration valuable to any OEM platform serving that customer base.
What the Synqly Microsoft Defender EASM Integration Does
Synqly’s Vulnerabilities connector exposes Microsoft Defender EASM through two core operations. Both return data through the same normalized schema Synqly applies across every vulnerability provider, so an OEM product does not need a separate data model for the assets Defender EASM surfaces.

Use Case: Unified Exposure Management for OEM Platforms
An OEM vendor building a unified exposure management or vulnerability aggregation product can now fold Defender EASM’s externally discovered assets and findings into the same view as internally scanned vulnerability data from other providers, without asking a customer to export a report or maintain a second login.
A security team using the OEM’s product gets one place to see both what their internal scanners found and what Defender EASM found sitting outside the network perimeter, which is often the more urgent gap to close. For the OEM vendor, offering a Microsoft Defender EASM integration is also a meaningful differentiator with prospects that have already standardized on Microsoft security tooling and expect their other vendors to plug into it cleanly.
How Synqly Manages the Integration
Synqly manages the authentication, query translation, and field normalization behind this integration through the Synqly unified API, so the OEM engineering team configures the Microsoft Defender EASM provider once and gets ongoing access to both operations without maintaining API client code against Microsoft’s own interfaces. That is time an engineering team can put back into product features rather than integration maintenance.
Documentation and Full Integration List
Full technical documentation for the Microsoft Defender EASM integration, including the exact filters supported on both the query assets and query findings operations, is available at docs.synqly.com, on the Vulnerabilities connector overview page. That page also lists the rest of the vulnerability management providers supported alongside Microsoft Defender EASM, so engineering teams can see how it fits into the broader connector. A full list of every live integration is also maintained on the Synqly integrations page.
