We are announcing that a new integration is live within the Synqly ecosystem. As product teams push to meet customers wherever their work already happens, we stay focused on giving our OEM customers fast access to the tools their end users rely on every day. We have introduced Linear as a supported ticketing provider. Vendor customers can now integrate with Linear through the Synqly integration platform, which means a security or IT product can create, update, and read Linear issues without any team writing a bespoke connector. This addition brings modern software issue tracking into the same normalized workflow our customers already use for the rest of their ticketing integrations, and it creates immediate value for end users who run their engineering and operations work inside Linear.
What Is Linear?
Linear is a purpose-built issue tracking and project management platform used by software, product, and operations teams to plan work, track issues, and manage projects. It has become a standard workspace for fast-moving engineering organizations that want a clean, keyboard-driven way to manage tickets, comments, and project structure. Because so many teams now coordinate their day-to-day work in Linear, it holds exactly the kind of ticket and project data that security and IT operations products need to reach when they open, enrich, or resolve issues on a customer’s behalf. When you integrate with Linear as a supported Synqly provider, that ticketing data becomes a standardized source of issues and comments rather than a one-off connector each vendor has to build and maintain alone.
What Can OEM Customers Do with the Linear Integration?
Synqly customers can use this integration to perform core ticketing functions directly within their own products. Operating in the Ticketing category, the connector lets a vendor create a ticket, retrieve a specific ticket, patch or update an existing ticket, and query a list of tickets against a customer’s Linear workspace. Teams can also work with the conversation around each issue by creating a comment, listing all comments on a ticket, and deleting a comment when it is no longer needed. To keep tickets scoped correctly, the connector can list the projects in a Linear workspace, since tickets are created and retrieved within the context of a specific project, and it can list remote fields so a product can map its own data to the fields Linear expects. A set of attachment capabilities, including creating, downloading, and listing attachment metadata, is available in beta as it rolls out across ticketing providers. Because the ticket data is normalized through the Synqly unified API, downstream logic in a customer’s product can consume Linear issues without custom parsing for every field.
The practical value of this connector is that it lets our OEM customers support Linear as a ticketing destination without committing an engineering team to building and maintaining a direct Linear connection. Synqly handles authentication and connection management, so product teams can focus on the workflows they deliver rather than on maintaining another ticketing API. When a security or IT product detects an issue, it can open a Linear ticket, attach context, and track the response through the same interface it uses for every other ticketing provider. Linear also joins a growing set of ticketing and notification sources, so customers can standardize on the Synqly Ticketing and Notifications connectors and add new providers from the same platform over time.
For OEM customers, this integration shortens the distance between a customer request and a shipped feature. When an end user runs their engineering work in Linear and asks whether your product can create and update issues there, you can answer yes without opening a new development project. Synqly already handles the connector, the authentication, and the normalization, so enabling Linear is a configuration step rather than a build. As more ticketing providers join the Synqly ecosystem, the same approach scales, and each new tool your customers ask for becomes another supported option rather than another backlog item.
Where to Find More Details
You will find detailed configuration steps and the available endpoints in the Linear Configuration Guide within the Synqly documentation. We encourage current and prospective customers to explore how the ability to integrate with Linear can strengthen their product offerings. You can also browse the full set of supported providers on our integration partners page to see how Linear fits alongside the rest of the Synqly ticketing ecosystem.
