We are sharing that a new integration is live within the Synqly integration partner ecosystem. As modern security operations teams expand their visibility across all threat vectors, email remains a critical focus area. Synqly has launched the new Email Security category and introduced Mimecast Cloud Gateway as the inaugural supported provider. Synqly vendor customers can now integrate with Mimecast Cloud Gateway through the Synqly Unified API. This addition empowers security vendors to seamlessly integrate with Mimecast’s email security events and threat intelligence, delivering immediate value to end users who rely on Mimecast for protection against phishing, ransomware, and business email compromise.
Mimecast is an email security and cyber resilience platform that provides advanced threat protection, data leak prevention, email continuity, and archiving capabilities. Because email remains a primary vector for cyberattacks, Mimecast is widely adopted by organizations to defend their communications and data. As a supported provider in the Email Security category, Mimecast serves as a critical source of threat telemetry, making it an essential integration for any vendor building security operations, incident response, or threat intelligence features.
Synqly customers can leverage this integration to perform vital data retrieval functions within their own products. The connector is specifically designed to function within the new Email Security category, enabling vendors to query threats and retrieve threat details directly from a customer’s Mimecast instance. By using the “Query Threats” capability, security vendors can access a list of automated detections that Mimecast deems threats. Furthermore, the “Get Threat Details” endpoint allows analysts to pull granular information about specific threats, ensuring that they have the comprehensive context needed for investigation and remediation. The integration handles the authentication and connection management, ensuring that the data pipeline remains robust and secure without requiring the vendor to manage the underlying API complexity.
The value of this connector lies in its ability to bridge the gap between email telemetry and active security operations. By integrating through the Synqly unified API, we enable our OEM customers to support Mimecast as a source of intelligence without building a custom adapter. Customers can now deliver a streamlined experience in which email security events are automatically formatted and synced, ready for immediate operational use. This efficiency allows product teams to focus on generating high-quality security insights rather than maintaining infrastructure for complex API interactions.
For those interested in implementing this new capability, we have provided documentation to guide you through the setup process. You can find detailed instructions for configuring the connector and using the available endpoints in our documentation. We encourage all current and prospective customers to explore how they can enhance their product offerings by leveraging this new integration.
