RSAC 2026 Wrap-Up: Themes, Takeaways, and Voices from the Floor

Sky-high views. Big stories. An incredible team. And 60lbs of burritos.

This year’s RSAC 2026 Conference was a success, but more importantly, it was a reflection of the people, conversations, and community that make this industry what it is. From early mornings hosting roundtables to our team handing out b reakfast burritos to our booth neighbors in the early morning, the energy never slowed despite the long days on the show floor. What stood out most wasn’t just the volume of activity, but the quality of discussions, connections, and collaboration.

Key Themes from RSAC 2026

Across the Synqly team’s reflections, a few consistent themes stood out:

Unsurprisingly, AI dominated conversations and vendor marketing. But the focus remained grounded in solving long-standing security challenges using AI as a tool in the equation instead of the end-all, be-all, all supported by the need to navigate a rapidly expanding vendor landscape and rethinking how platforms and integrations come together.

Key Themes:

  • AI continues to be the dominant force shaping conversations and innovation – Foundational security challenges like DLP, GRC, and identity governance remain central
  • The security market is expanding, with ongoing growth in vendors despite rising M&A activity
  • Platformization is resurging, with a focus on connecting disparate tools
  • The pace of change is accelerating, shortening planning cycles and increasing demand for adaptability

A few takeaways that are noteworthy to share:

“Foundational elements of security remain the focus. Leveraging AI and newer tools to solve long-term problems like DLP, GRC, and identity governance were leading topics of conversation.” – Joel Joel https://www.linkedin.com/in/joelbauman/

“Security is not consolidating… There will be consolidation in spaces, including AI security and SOC Automation.” Joel https://www.linkedin.com/in/joelbauman/

” The pace of change given AI has meant that roadmaps longer than 6 months no longer exist.” Joel https://www.linkedin.com/in/joelbaum

I want to personally thank the team as well. We graduated from the start-up section to the main floor this year, and the team all came together before, during, and after the show, representing Synqly in an incredible way. If you’d like to read individual thoughts, visit:

A huge thank you to the Stifel Financial Corp. team – Danny Hatfield, Andrew Kidder, and Jessie Chin – for hosting us,

Closing Thoughts

RSAC 2026 reinforced what many in the industry are already feeling: while new technologies like AI are accelerating change, the core challenges and opportunities remain rooted in connection, integration, and execution. More than anything, it’s the people behind the technology who continue to drive the industry forward.
